BTN Will Published Bonds And EBA IDR 1.5 Trillion This Year

JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) plans to take corporate action by issuing bonds of IDR 1 trillion. BTN also plans to issue an Asset Securities (EBA) of IDR 500 billion this year.

BTN Finance Director Nofry Rony Poetra said the planned bonds to be issued in the third quarter of 2023 and EBA will be issued in the second quarter of 2023.

"The bonds in the third quarter were IDR 1 trillion. EBA in the second quarter. For the progress of the bonds, the bias was 3 months before we held a 'beauty contest' to select the institutions involved in the bonds," he said at a press conference in Jakarta quoted Friday, February 17.

He added that this bond fund will later be used to support the company's credit and business in 2023.

In addition to issuing bonds, continued Nofry, the focus of BTN in 2023 is to increase the portion of Third Party Funds (DPK), especially the current account stovin account (CASA).

"BTN has two machines. One DPK, one wholesale bond. Our focus in 2023 will increase the portion of the DPK, especially the CASA. Then the wholesale fund, our bonds have plans every year, we plan to issue Rp1 trillion and EBA around Rp500 billion. This is more to maintain liquidity from the EBA market and bonds," he said.

The company's financial statements recorded credit and financing grew by 8.53 percent yoy from Rp274.83 trillion to Rp298.28 trillion as of December 31, 2022.

Bank BTN juga berhasil meningkatkan DPK sebesar 8,77 persen yoy dari Rp295,97 triliun menjadi Rp321,93 triliun per 31 Desember 2022.

The increase in the DPK was driven by an increase in the company's low-cost funds (CASA) by 19.13 percent yoy to IDR 156.2 trillion at the end of December 2022. With this increase, the company's cost of funds (cost of funds/CoF) fell 53 basis points (bps) yoy from 3.13 percent at the end of 2021 to 2.60 percent.
