Appearing Prime At IIMS 2023, The Boss Of Esemka Expressed This Reason

JAKARTA - Esemka ventured to appear at the 2023 Indonesian International Motor Show (IIMS) automotive industry exhibition for the first time, after no news for a long time.

Esemka had become the center of attention before Joko Widodo became President at that time. However, the name of this car produced by the nation's children is slowly sinking.

Until finally it entered the line-up for the IIMS 2023 automotive exhibition, after being announced by the organizers shortly before the event was held.

Esemka's presence was also linked with political issues, but Esemka's management firmly denied it.

"We are pure business, there is no political relationship whatsoever," said President Director of PT Solo Manufacturing Kreasi Eddy Wirajaya at IIMS JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Thursday, February 16.

According to Eddy, Jokowi is just the originator and is not the reason for Esemka's appearance in IIMS this year.

"He (Jokowi) only sparked Solo's vocational city in the form of automotive, after that he had a higher position. He was looking (way) so that the private sector could continue this industry. So, please stop connecting him with Esemka," he said.

Nevertheless, Eddy is very happy because Esemka can reappear, especially at the IIMS 2023 automotive exhibition.

"At this moment, we made a decision, the right time to go out at this biggest event of IIMS," he explained.

In the IIMS 2023 event, two Esemka cars were exhibited, namely Bima 1.3 and Bima EV electric cars.

Bima 1.3 is a pick-up commercial vehicle. Meanwhile, Bima EV is a pure electric-powered Minivan and cargo van.

For the price, Esemka Bima 1.3 is priced at IDR 137 million, while for Bima 1.3 EPS versions are priced at IDR 150 million.

Then, Esemka Cargo Van costs IDR 530 million and the Passenger Van version IDR 540 million.
