JAKARTA PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. targets the distribution of multipurpose financing of IDR 1.3 trillion throughout 2023.
Bank Muamalat Director Wahyu Avianto said the number had tripled compared to the previous period.
"After the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) entered, we are increasingly aggressively increasing the financing portfolio in the retail segment, especially consumer products such as multipurpose," he said in a written statement, Thursday, February 9.
According to Wahyu, the Pro Hajj Plus product is a mainstay because the company is a major player in the Hajj and Umrah segment and is in line with the core business of BPKH as the controlling shareholder.
"We are optimistic that the triple growth target compared to last year can be achieved through a number of strategies," he said.
Wahyu explained that the multipurpose product of Pro Hajj Plus is a financing facility for the processing of special hajj portion registration (ONH Plus) in accordance with sharia principles with the basis of the DSN-MUI fatwa (No. 112/DSN-MUI/IX2017) regarding the Multijasa Ijarah Akad.
"Through Pro Hajj Plus, departure time will be much faster than regular Hajj, which is only about six to seven years. In addition to the allocation of special Hajj financing, Multipurpose financing at Bank Muamalat is also aggressively targeting customers who have the need for Umrah packages," he said.
For information, PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk is a pioneer of Islamic banking in Indonesia which was founded in the early 90s. This financial services entity has been officially controlled by BPKH with a total share ownership of 82.7 percent.
