The Ministry Of Industry Targets Budget Absorption Up To 50 Percent In The First Semester Of 2023

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) targets budget absorption in the first semester of 2023 to reach 50 percent and the procurement process for goods/services is completed in June this year.

"The Commitment Making Officers (PPK) must know and understand what is their responsibility, so that it does not have the potential to cause discrepancies in the future," said Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry Dody Widodo at the Ministry of Industry Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 25.

The Ministry of Industry's budget ceiling in 2023 is known to be IDR 3.217 trillion, which will be optimized in three priority programs.

The three are the Ministry of Industry's Management Support Program, the Industry's Added Value and Competitiveness Program, and the Vocational Education and Training Program.

"For this reason, we need to prepare anticipation and mitigation as early as possible, so as not to interfere with the sustainability of the national economic recovery program being carried out by the government," he said.

Dody said, according to the President's direction that the 2023 State Budget design must always be vigilant, Anticipatory, and Respondive to various possible scenarios that move very dynamically and have the potential to cause turmoil, the 2023 fiscal policy must support "Increased Productivity for Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Trasnarations".

He advised all employees at the Ministry of Industry to be the driving force in implementing industrial development programs, as well as building synergies with business actors and other relevant agencies in order to accelerate industrial growth as part of national economic development efforts to build equitable development.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Industry Kasduni said that the acceleration of budget implementation was aimed at evaluating the achievements of budget implementation and knowing the obstacles to problems, as well as solutions that needed to be done, from the implementation planning to the reporting stage.

"Thus, it is hoped that this year we can continue to improve the performance of budget implementation, as well as financial reports correctly and accountably towards Unqualified Financial Reports," he added.

The Budget Implementation Acceleration activity within the Ministry of Industry in 2023 is also filled with a webinar "Improving the Quality of Budget Implementation and Optimization of PNBP in the Ministry of Industry" which presents resource persons from related ministries/agencies, such as the Ministry of Finance and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
