"Through Indonesia Pavilion, we invite global investors to act as catalysts and together we develop investment opportunities in Indonesia which can reach a total annual economic value of up to 200-250 billion US dollars in 2050," Arsjad said in a written statement, as quoted on Wednesday, January 18.

Arsjad said that the Indonesia Pavilion which was held with the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Agency (BKPM) was the right event to be able to introduce investment opportunities in Indonesia to the global business community.

Kadin believes that the private sector is a sector that has a very big role for Indonesia. The entry of various global investments into this sector will play a role in the catalyst for economic growth and the progress of the nation," he said.

"Since the beginning of the B20 Presidency, we have carried out a roadshow to promote investment opportunities to several countries in Europe, America, East Asia, and Australia. This year, Indonesia is also trusted to hold the Chairship of the ASEAN 2023 and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will continue to intensify promotions to investors during the ASEAN Business Advisory Council 2023 period," said Arsjad.

The rapid development of renewable energy trends in Indonesia has also made the energy transition sector, as well as the green economy one of the main attractions that will be discussed in this forum.

Arsjad added that sustainability will also be the main focus of the ASEAN 2023 Summit.

Later, he will explain the roadmap for decarbonization in Indonesia and investment opportunities in Indonesia's green economy.

Indonesia has taken significant positive steps towards the future of Net Zero Emission in 2060, through various initiatives that have been stated by the government, industry leaders, and various institutions.

"Another commitment in the sustainability aspect that Indonesia wants to achieve by 2030 is to reduce 30-40 percent of greenhouse gas emissions and implement clean carbon absorption for the forest and land use sector," Arsjad concluded.
