JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) claims the budget for the construction of small toll roads this year.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said toll road construction in Indonesia received more cost support from investors.

"The (budget) for toll roads, right, mostly investment, because the state budget on toll roads, right, is small," said Basuki at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 17.

Basuki even gave an example of several toll road constructions that use funds from a number of investors.

"It's like the Jogja-Solo Toll Road is an investment, we don't have (budget), at the most land, but the construction doesn't exist from the state budget, all investments," he said.

"(Toll Road) Jogja-Bawen continues (because of investment), 'if Jogja-Solo is what trillion?' There is no APBN," he added.

According to Basuki, his party has fully contributed to the construction of the Patimban port access toll road. This is because there are no investors who want to conduct tenders or auctions.

"Because there are no investors who want it, maybe we have Patimban access construction," he added.

Meanwhile, regarding which number and toll roads will operate this year, Basuki still cannot convey it thoroughly.

"Oops, don't know me," he concluded.

For your information, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) received a budget ceiling of IDR 125.22 trillion in 2023. The budget includes infrastructure development.

"The priority, as directed by the President in 2023-2024, is specifically to complete PSN (National Strategic Projects) programs, which are all completed in the first semester of 2024," Basuki said at Commission V Jakarta, Tuesday, January 17.
