JAKARTA - PT Inti in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) launched the Beautiful Indonesia application to increase foreign and domestic tourist visits to Indonesia, on Monday, January 16.

President Director of PT Inti Edi Witraja said, the Beautiful Indonesia application is a social media platform built to support the proud movement of traveling in Indonesia.

Apart from that, the Beautiful Indonesia application is also made by local children which was made specifically to make it easier for the public and tourists to find references for traveling in the country.

"This platform provides everything you need from A to Z about the existing ecosystem in tourism," said Edi in the Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno in Jakarta, Monday, January 16.

Later, each user of the application can enter information related to tourism in the form of a photo or video followed by a description to make it easier for other users.

For now, continued Edi, the Beautiful Indonesia application still includes tourism information from other social media.

"Other users can also enter comments. There are feedback and others, profile links for repetition. So, later with machine learning and so on people will get notifications," he explained.

He also hopes that the Beautiful Indonesia application can help the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy program to achieve the target of 7.4 million foreign tourists this year.

"The (Beautiful Indonesia) application complements and makes it easier for users of tourism industry services, as well as supporting the minister's target which is twice the previous year's target, namely 7.4 million tourists," he explained.

In the future, said Edi, the Beautiful Indonesia application will continue to be developed to meet the needs of the tourism ecosystem. "Right now, the platform that we are touching on is still in tourism. In the future it could be related to industry, automotive and others," he added.

Meanwhile, Menparekraf Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said, it is hoped that with the Beautiful Indonesia application, it will be easier for all people to get information about tourism as well as promotion of destinations.

"We hope that there will be an increase from tourists including, also from spontaneous tourists, and we hope, with this soft launch, it will boost the number of downloads on the Google Play Store and Apple Apps Store for the Beautiful Indonesia application, which is a product made by the nation's children, and can complement social media ecosystem," he said.
