SOE Ministry Employees Will Get Additional Bonuses From SOE Dividends

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir is preparing bonuses for employees of the Ministry of SOEs. The goal is for equitable welfare in the BUMN environment.

Erick revealed that so far, if state-owned companies make a profit, their employees get bonuses or additional income. Meanwhile, employees at the Ministry of SOEs get nothing.

Furthermore, Erick explained that this condition caused jealousy from BUMN employees. Therefore, Erick emphasized that equitable welfare aims to avoid jealousy.

BUMN that is profitable (his employee) gets a bonus. The ministry can't get anything. It's unfair, that's why there is a sale and purchase of positions. Iri. This is what we encourage," he said at the Initial Press Conference in 2023, Monday, January 2.

Erick said the bonus scheme for SOE Ministry employees was being prepared. Even so, Erick admitted that he had received the green light from the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.

"For SOEs for dividends, the ministry also gets bonuses, dividends. The Minister of Finance agrees," he concluded.

Furthermore, Erick also said, the structure of the Ministry of SOEs has been changed where the structure is different from other ministries.

"We dismantle the structure of the Ministry of SOEs. There are financial deputies, HRD, legal ones, indeed a bit different from other ministries," he said.

The proposal for giving bonuses to employees of the Ministry of SOEs is contained in strengthening the Ministry of SOEs through the BUMN Bill Bill.

The bill is expected to encourage the sustainability of the transformation of the state company. The Ministry of SOEs will be more corporate in order to have a healthy performance like BUMN.
