JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) is ready to facilitate the needs of public financial transactions which are projected to increase towards the end of the year by preparing cash of IDR 15.57 trillion. The funds are for needs from December 1, 2022 to January 2, 2023.
BSI Information Technology Director Achmad Syafii said that currently BSI is focused on ensuring the availability of cash funds, especially for ATM machines in order to provide excellent service for 24 hours in meeting customer needs.
The nominal amount of cash prepared by BSI has been adjusted to the projected increase in ATM cash filling by 52 percent to Rp2.44 trillion or estimated at around Rp244 billion per day in the period 23 December to 2 January 2023.
"We estimate that the peak of cash transactions is predicted to occur in the last two weeks towards the end of 2022 until early 2023, which is a holiday period," said Achmad in a statement quoted by Antara, Friday, December 23.
He also ensured that the company will always provide excellent service through BSI's electronic network during year-end holidays. Therefore, he emphasized that customers always transact cash withdrawals, inter-branch transfers and monthly payments, through BSI's electronic network which includes 2,500 ATM units, which are connected to ATM Link networks. Joint ATMs, Prima ATMs and Visa/Plus, to Electronic Data Capture (EDC) spread throughout Indonesia.
BSI also continues to urge customers to increase the use of other electronic networks such as BSI Mobile services.
"Currently, all payment transactions can be done online through the BSI Mobile application on customers' smartphones," said Achmad.
In addition, his party also ensures that by the end of 2022, BSI will continue to optimize branch office services while still operating on 24, 25, 31 December and 1 January 2023.
