JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) targets two million small industries to be listed on e-catalog specifically for products that have met the level of domestic components (TKDN) next year.

"We are targeting that by 2023 there will be around two million small industrial products that can be included in the e-catalog," said Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita when met at her office, Monday, December 19.

To make this happen, Agus has issued Minister of Industry Regulation (Permenperin) Number 46 of 2022 concerning Provisions and Procedures for Calculating the Value of the Domestic Component Level for Small Industries.

Through this regulation, small industries can carry out independent calculations or self-assessment on calculating the weights of the Domestic Content Level of products produced to obtain TKDN certificates.

The TKDN certificate of 25 percent is one of the requirements so that small industrial products can enter the e-catalog.

"Everything is done online through the National Industrial Information System (SIINAs). It is obligatory after they fill out Siinas, no later than the TKDN certificate is issued within five days," said Agus.

Agus ensured that all TKDN certificate applications for small industries were free.

Therefore, he appealed to the relevant industry offices to provide guidance to small industries in their respective regions to be able to take advantage of these regulations.

The effort was also made to anticipate the threat of a global economic crisis that made the European market and the United States sluggish.

For Agus, Small and Medium Industries (IKM) is a very important sector because it is able to absorb up to 66 percent of the total employment in the industrial sector.

"The global market will be sluggish, the only way is to strengthen the domestic market. Do not let the domestic market be used by imported products," he added.
