PLN Supports The BUMN House Program And Encourages To Increase Economics Through MSME Products

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has just inaugurated a BUMN house in Belitung Regency. Several SOEs including PT PLN (Persero) are the drivers in presenting BUMN houses which will become a forum for the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the area.

The BUMN Belitung house, which was inaugurated by the Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs for Public Communication, Arya Sinulingga, has also increased the number of other BUMN houses that have been present in various parts of Indonesia.

Arya Sinulingga said the presence of this BUMN House in Belitung would encourage an increase in the capacity of MSME partners fostered by SOEs as well as drive the pace of the economy in Bangka Belitung.

According to him, the first BUMN house in Belitung will provide guidance to MSME players in marketing their products.

"The presence of this BUMN House is really needed by the community. This facility is expected to be a forum as well as provide guidance to fostered partners, especially how to create good marketing programs," said Arya.

Arya continued, this Belitung BUMN House will also be used as a center for education, development, and digitization of MSMEs. In addition to helping with capital and marketing access for fostered partners, BUMN Houses provide MSME workshops and seminar rooms to spread creative ideas and develop product innovation.

Thus, this facility can build and help the economy and the welfare of the community, especially local MSME actors.

"The purpose of establishing this BUMN house is none other than an increase in competence, as access to capital and marketing and as a forum for SOEs to collaborate," said Arya.

He continued, SOEs are committed to always providing energy that can move the wheels of the economy and sustainable growth. Therefore, the company strives to continue to encourage every fostered partner to become MSMEs to advance to class and go global.

Arya said the company also always supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the implementation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG)-based programs.

"This is part of the company's TJSL (Social and Environmental Responsibility) to realize economic benefits in society," he said.

The presence of the Belitung BUMN House located on Jalan Kemuning, Parit Village, Samping, Tanjung Pendam, Bangka Belitung Islands was immediately greeted enthusiastically by MSME actors. Lita, one of the fostered partners of PT PLN (Persero) who was also present, said she was happy with the presence of the Belitung BUMN House.

"Alhamdulillah, now that the Belitung BUMN House has been inaugurated, this is a forum for us MSME actors to continue to develop the products we produce, we hope that the existence of BUMN houses can improve the welfare of MSME actors," said Lita.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) Bangka Belitung Regional Main Unit, Ajrun Karim, said that through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, it opens up business opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to compete in domestic and international markets through the PLN Mobile marketplace and is introduced in the BUMN Belitung house.

"This BUMN house has a high role and contribution in fostering MSME players to be better known. Hopefully, MSMEs can continue to be enthusiastic about working and innovating in creating local products that have a high selling value. In addition to MSMEs fostered by PLN, we also introduce them through the PLN Mobile marketplace," explained Ajrun.

This inauguration also adds to the number of BUMN houses currently spread across 248 regencies/cities. The collaboration between PLN through BUMN houses has also succeeded in making 14 MSMEs go global to several countries ranging from Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Turkey, France to Africa.

Among them, six MSMEs from PLN Pacitan BUMN House with food products, natural stones to aromatherapy, then four MSMEs fostered by PLN Blitar BUMN House with coffee and tea products, two MSMEs from PLN Pasaman BUMN House with gelamai and rendang Pteridotes products and two MSMEs for honey products and sambal tempoyak from PLN Jambi BUMN House.
