JAKARTA - PT Ajinomoto Indonesia (Ajinomoto) won the environmental award "Green Initiative Awards" for the consumer goods category organized by catadata thanks to implementing zero waste which minimizes and reduces environmental pollution to zero.

"The award we received.. became a trigger for Ajinomoto to continue to innovate in creating new initiatives that can help preserve the environment. In addition to processing liquid side products (by product) from MSG production, Ajinomoto is also processing side products in solid form and several other domestic wastes into GCC Mix land improvements, TRITAN animal feed materials, and several other co-products that have selling value.

Not only that, the factory, which is located in East Java, also always implements reduce, reuse, recovery, and recycle activities for most factory activities.

For better air, Ajinomoto participated in reducing carbon emissions levels in Indonesia by reducing 38,500 tons of CO2 (carbon emissions) by reducing fuel consumption of all transportation in the workplace, cutting the use of electricity, and overcoming leakage of steam in production equipment.
