In Addition To The Renovation Of Hospital Sayang, The Ministry Of PUPR Has Prepared A Land To Build Earthquake Victims' Homes

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is renovating the Sayang Hospital (RS) in Cianjur Regency, West Java Province, which was damaged by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6, on Monday, November 21.

This is done as an effort to increase access to health for the community.

"Rencana, dua minggu ke depan akan selesai dua ruangan pasien, yakni Gedung Flamboyan dan Gedung Baugenvile yang dapat menampung sekitar 59 pasien," kata Sekretaris Direktorat Jenderal Cipta Karya Riono Suprapto dalam keterangannya, Selasa 6 Desember.

The renovation work of the Sayang Cianjur Hospital was carried out during the night by involving around 55 workers.

Accelerating the completion of the hospital renovation will help provide health services for the community, especially injured victims due to the earthquake.

"For inpatient rooms, Bougenvile patients have 57 beds and 45 beds of Flamboyan rooms, bringing the total to 102 beds," said Riono.

In addition to repairing the Sayang Hospital, the Ministry of PUPR also continues to send assistance for sanitation and clean water infrastructure to help refugees during the emergency response period, as well as to start land clearing for the construction of houses for residents who will be relocated after the earthquake.

In accordance with the land provided by the Cianjur Regency Government, the location in Cilaku is around 2.5 ha and Mande is around 30 ha.

Until now, the Ministry of PUPR is working on four units of 200 units of Simple Healthystan Homes (RISHA) with earthquake-resistant structures by contractor PT Brantas Abripraya by involving around 100 workers for acceleration.

For your information, the Ministry of PUPR through the West Java Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) of the Directorate General of Human Settlements has renovated the damaged buildings of the Sayang Hospital.

As for a number of buildings for the Sayang Hospital that were repaired, namely the Emergency Installation Building (IGD), the Central Sterile Partment (CSSD), the Radioligi Building, and the repair of the patient's room.

The implementation is carried out by contractor PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) including structural, architect, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), and landscape work.
