YOGYAKARTA In 2023, the Government is rumored to be disbursing a number of subsidy funds intended for the purchase of electric vehicles, especially electric motorcycles. So what is the estimated price of electric motorcycles after receiving subsidies?

The news of the provision of subsidies for the purchase of electric motorcycles was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Pandjaitan. He said that the government is currently preparing a scheme for providing subsidies for electric vehicles.

There is no official information regarding the amount of subsidies provided by the Government. However, Minister Luhut gave an estimated subsidy amount of Rp. 6.5 million.

"So soon we will launch an electric car with a subsidy. Our motorcycle is finalizing (the size of the subsidy). How much million do we want to give motorcycle subsidies, maybe Rp. 6 million. In Thailand maybe Rp. 7 million, we might be Rp. 6.5 million or how much is around that," said Luhut at the Welcome Stronger Investment Post-Pandemic event, quoted Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Apart from these plans, a number of electric motorcycle automotive companies have marketed their products in Indonesia. The following is the market price of electric motorcycles after deducting subsidies from the Government.

Gesits is an electric motorcycle made in Indonesia. In the market, this motorbike is priced starting at IDR 28 million. The price will drop to IDR 21.5 million after deducting a subsidy of IDR 6.5 million.

Gesits has 6.7 stances, equipped with an NCM Lithium battery with a capacity of 3 kWh. With this battery, Gesits can travel about 100 km per hour in one charge to full.

The lowest price of United's electric motor is around Rp. 30 million. With a subsidy of Rp. 6.5 million, the price is Rp. 23.5 million.

United electric motorpower is supported by a 27-Nm BOSCH electric motor. This motorcyclist is 1,800 W. United equipped with a 60V 28Ah Lithium battery. When the power is full, the motor can travel at normal speeds of up to 60 km with an average speed of 50 to 60 km per hour.

Brand Viar is starting to get familiar with the public. Viar's electric motorbike is sold on the market for around Rp. 21 million. The price is Rp. 14.5 million after deducting a subsidy of Rp. 6.5 million.

The electric motor Viar model Q1 is supported by two batteries with a size of 60V23Ah each. Viar can lock up the maximum speed of 60 km per hour.

People can buy an Alva Obe electric motorbike for IDR 34.9 million. However, after subsidized, the price of Alva One becomes IDR 28 million. The speed of this motorbike is the fastest at 90 km per hour. When the battery is full, the motor can cover a distance of up to 70 km. Charging the battery takes approximately four hours.

The public can buy the Niu GOVA-03 electric motorbike at a price of Rp. 19.5 million after receiving subsidies from the government. Meanwhile, the normal price is around Rp. 25 million.

Niu has a speed of up to 60 km per hour, while the achievable distance is about 55 to 75 km. This motorbike is equipped with a 60V voltage 18650 lithium battery and a capacity of 40Ah. It takes 7 hours until the battery can be fully charged.
