List Of UMP 2023 In All Provinces: Highest Jakarta, Lowest Central Java, Largest West Sumatra Increase, What About Yogyakarta?

YOGYAKARTA The amount of the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) has finally been determined by each Provincial Government. The increase in the UMP was then appreciated by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker). The 2023 UMP list in all provinces has also been officially announced.

As is known, the determination of the UMP in 2023 is carried out in accordance with Permenaker Number 18 of 2022. The increase was also delayed, which should have been carried out on November 21 to no later than November 28, 2022.

There are three important points in the regulation of the Permenaker, first is the local government's obligation to determine the minimum wage of 2023, the second is related to the formula for calculating the minimum wage which is calculated in accordance with the rules of the government.

The formula for increasing the UMP 2023 is the current year's + (increased) Wage Value (UM) x UM (current year). The minimum wage adjustment is obtained from inflation + (increased) (economic growth x labor contribution index to economic growth with a certain value in a certain range of 0.1 to 0.3).

While the last point says that the determination of the latest minimum wage increase should not be more than 10 percent. This applies to 33 provinces in Indonesia.

Based on data from the Ministry of Manpower, the highest UMP in 2023 is still held by DKI Jakarta which is up.60% when compared to 2022. While the lowest UMP 2023 is Central Java with a amount below IDR 2 million. However, when compared to the previous year, the increase reached 8.01 percent.

In percentage, the highest increase in the 2023 UMP is West Sumatra Province (West Sumatra) at 9.15 percent. In this province, the UMP in 2022 was IDR 2,512,539.00 and then increased to IDR 2,742,476.00 in 2023. Meanwhile, the UMP for Yogyakarta Province increased by 7.65% compared to 2022. The increase was IDR 1,981,782.39.
