JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif representing the government has officially submitted a List of Problem Inventory (DIM) in the Draft Law on New Energy and Renewable Energy (RUU EBET) at a Working Meeting between the Governments, consisting of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of SOEs, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Ministry of Education and Culture, together with Chairman of Committee II DPD in a Working Meeting held by Commission VII DPR RI on Tuesday 29 November.

"Based on the internal discussions that have been carried out by the government, a DIM Bill EBET has been prepared consisting of 574 numbers, with details of 52 articles being changed, 10 articles fixed, and 11 new articles," said Arifin, quoted on Wednesday, November 30.

Furthermore, Arifin said that the substance points in the DIM Bill EBET consisted of 14 points, including the energy transition and road maps.

He said that the government agreed to regulate the energy transition and roadmap, but by adjusting the substance sequence, starting from the energy mix target which refers to the National Energy Policy (KEN), roadmaps in the energy transition both in the medium and long term, as well as the implementation of the energy transition.

Then, the government's EBET sources agreed on definitions related to energy, renewable energy, and energy sources, renewable energy sources and renewable energy sources.

"However, for the definition of new energy and new energy sources, the government proposes changes taking into account criteria following international standards on low-carbon emissions," said Arifin.
