Good News, Garuda Indonesia Operates The Seoul-Denpasar Flight Route From December 2022

JAKARTA - The national airline Garuda Indonesia is again expanding its international flight network to Denpasar, Bali through the re-operation of the Seoul-Denpasar PP flight route. The Seoul-Denpasar (PP) flight will operate twice per week. President Director of Garuda Indonesia Irfan Setiaputra said Garuda will serve this flight route on Sunday and Monday, using a fleet of A330-300 which has a capacity of 251 passengers, with a configuration of 36 business seats and 215 economy seats. The flight route will start to be served on December 4, 2022. The flight from Seoul to Denpasar will depart from Incheon International Airport with GA-871 at 11.35 LT and is scheduled to arrive at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport at 17.50 WITA; while flights to Seoul will depart from Denpasar with GA-870 at 01.25 WITA and arrive at Incheon at 09.15 LT. Irfan explained that the reopening of Seoul-Denpasar flights this year also coincides with the important momentum of bilateral relations over 50 years between Indonesia and South Korea. "In addition to strengthening the chance of international Tourism, the reopening of these flights will further strengthen the solidity of social, economic, political relations. Indonesia and South Korea through the accessibility of direct flight services to one of Indonesia's strategic hubs, namely Bali," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, November 15. Irfan said, the direct flight service is one form of Garuda Indonesia's efforts to optimize the momentum of tourism recovery, amid a positive trend of international flight growth that has helped to increase the number of international passengers of Garuda Indonesia to grow more than 500 percent in September 2022, compared to the same period last year. "Therefore, this Seoul-Denpasar flight service is expected to encourage more foreign tourists to visit Indonesia and enjoy the beauty of natural tourism and the culture of Nusantara on the Island of the Gods," he said.

Furthermore, Irfan explained that the operation of the Seoul-Denpasar flight route is also a sustainable effort by Garuda Indonesia in presenting sealess journeys, where service users have a more diverse choice of flight service connectivity from Bali as a tourism hub in the central region of Indonesia, towards various other leading destinations in Indonesia such as Lombok, Labuan Bajo, Makassar, and others. "We hope that the availability of more diverse alternative connectivity for foreign tourists can contribute positively to economic recovery in various Garuda Indonesia destinations," he said. For this reason, continued Irfan, Garuda Indonesia in the future will continue to optimize existing market opportunities and maximize available production capacity to support tourism activities as one of the driving wheels for the recovery of the national economy.
