Visiting Tegal Fishermen, Moeldoko Bahas Jokowi's Attention To MSMEs To Food Security And Energy

TEGAL - Presidential Chief of Staff General TNI (Ret.) Moeldoko said that currently the President is very concerned about the development of micro, small and medium enterprises in the midst of a global situation that is not good.

"In the midst of an uncertain global situation, the MSME sector and the formal and informal sectors are the main buffers. However, thank God our economy is quite good in the midst of this bad global situation," said Moeldoko at a meeting with fishermen. Tegal City, Central Java quoted by Antara, Wednesday 9 November.

According to him, there are three issues faced in this global situation, namely food, energy and financial security. "In the midst of a world situation where it is difficult to eat, but thank God we don't face such a situation," he said.

The issue of energy, said Moeldoko, Indonesia can still deal with it well and manage it well too.

"A few moments ago, I had time to read in France and a number of other countries, the government was unable to prepare gas stations. Alhamdulillah, Indonesia can still deal with the situation well," he said.

Then for global financial issues, the world is currently facing a recession with indications of high inflation with low economic growth.

"However, we are still grateful that economic growth in the third quarter still reached 5.79 percent and inflation was around 4.9 percent," he said.

Moeldoko said that in the midst of this bad global situation, why are there still many fishermen complaining that the economic condition in Indonesia is better than other countries.

"I heard earlier that fishermen complained because the price of low fish, which originally reached Rp. 20,000, has now become Rp. 10,000 to Rp. 12 thousand per kilogram. My answer is that the price of fish determines the market," he said.
