Elon Musk To CEO Alibaba Daniel Zhang Will Present At B20 Summit 2022

JAKARTA - Indonesia's Business Presidency 20 (B20) for the 2022 period is coming to an end.

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) as the organizer of B20 Indonesia is preparing the peak of B20 or B20 Summit activities which will be held on November 13-14 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC).

Chair of B20 Indonesia Shinta Kamdani said the B20 Summit 2022 will be attended by CEOs of leading global companies, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Shinta noted, there will be 96 speakers from 30 countries to be involved in the B20 Summit.

From the global business sector, namely, Tesla Inc CEO, Elon Musk; Chairman of Alibaba Group, Daniel Zhang; Unilever CEO, Alan Jope. In addition, Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair; Managing Director of World Bank, Mari Elka Pangestu; to Founder and Executive Chairman of World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab is also scheduled to attend," Shinta said at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday, November 4.

Host of B20 and Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arsjad Rasjid hopes that the presence of Elon Musk can attract a number of important people in the world to attend the 2022 B20 Summit.

"With him coming, we hope that other investors will also come to Indonesia. Why not others? Come on!" he said.

Regarding the possibility of cooperation with Elon Musk, Arsyad was reluctant to provide information.

However, continued Arsyad, the presence of the CEO of SpaceX can see investment opportunities and can invest personally in Indonesia.

"He must first come to Indonesia. The hope is that he will invest. Not necessarily his investment through Tesla, Twitter, or SpaceX. The money is a lot so it could be a personal investment," concluded Arsjad.

B20 is an outreach group of the G20 representing 6.5 million international business communities that accounts for 80 percent of the world's GDP.

B20 reflects the role of the private sector as a driver of strong, sustainable, and balanced economic growth.

Since last January, B20 Indonesia has held a series of meetings, dialogues, and summarizes recommendations from the global business community in the form of a policy recommendation that will be held at the G20 Summit on November 15-16, 2022 which will also take place in Bali.

Inception Meeting in January 2022 started the work series of B20 Indonesia. From there, it has produced policy-action recommendations and policies as a result of the work of six Task Forces and one Action Council B20 Indonesia.

Throughout this year, seven B20-G20 Dialogues have also been held, more than sideline events with more than 8,000 global participants involved in the B20 series of events.

To date, more than 1,600 registered delegates have attended the B20 Summit.
