During the event, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan released the 99th export in 2022 as many as 50,000 troops worth 100 thousand US dollars to the United States.
"I am optimistic that the export performance of Indonesian hair products will continue to increase. I also hope and continue to encourage Indonesia to become the number one exporter of counterfeit hair in the world," he said.
Furthermore, Zulhas, as Zulkifli Hasan is familiarly called, said that the market for Indonesian hair products has enormous potential to be explored.
"This includes traditional export destinations," he said.
Zulhas said that in the January-August 2022 period, the export value of Indonesian status products was recorded at 7,169 tons with a value of USD 287.7 million. This figure slightly decreased compared to the export value for the same period in 2021 which was recorded at 11.761 tons with a total value of USD 421.3 million.
The main export destination countries for MONEY products in that period were to the United States (78 percent), Germany (4.55 percent), England (3.71 percent), South Korea (2.91 percent), and the Czech Republic (0.91 percent).
At the export release event, Zulhas expressed his high appreciation to the leadership of PT. Victoria Beauty Industrial and its staff who continue to encourage the increase in exports of counterfeit hair products.
