The Directorate General of Regional Development Development (Ditjen Bangda) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) signed a cooperation agreement with the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas).

The agreement includes the Development and Supervision of Consumer Control of Certain Fuel Oil Users (JBT) and Types of Assignment Special Oil Fuel (JBKP) in Provinces, Regencies and Cities.

In his remarks, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs, John Wempi Wetipo expressed his support for this joint initiation.

"I see this activity as quite important as our joint effort to support the supervision of consumers or users of subsidized fuel oil so that it is right on target for the poor," he said in a statement to the media, Tuesday, November 1.

In line with this, Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati said that strong coordination and synergy between Bumi BPH Migas and the Ministry of Home Affairs was needed in carrying out this task.

"The purpose of this PKS is mainly consumer control who is entitled to get JBT and JBKP to be right on target," said Erika.

Furthermore, Erika detailed, the scope of this collaboration includes facilitating the provision of data and user consumer information, facilitating the role of provincial, district and city governments in the implementation of control instruments for the provision and distribution of JBT and JBKP, as well as coaching and supervision.

In this Cooperation Agreement, it is hoped that the Ministry of Home Affairs can provide support and facilitation for the implementation of verification and recommendations related to consumers using JBT and JBKP from the Provincial, Regency and City Governments to be integrated into the Information System for Business Entities Assignment and Distribution of JBT and JBKP.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Home Affairs can support supervision over consumer control of JBT and JBKP users carried out by Provincial, Regency and City Governments throughout the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

In addition, cooperation is carried out through socialization to Provincial, Regency and City Governments regarding the control of consumers using JBT and JBKP in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

Not only that, the Ministry of Home Affairs is expected to provide support related to harmonization of consumer control data for JBT and JBKP users from the Provincial, Regency and City Governments so that they are integrated into the Assignment Business Entity Information System so that it is right on target.
