Strengthen The Electricity Safety Aspects, Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources Targets 800 Building Manpowerers In Six Provinces To Become Instatirs

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is organizing a People's Competency Certification Program (PROSERATE) in order to meet the needs of competent electrical installation staff to ensure aspects of electricity safety. This year, the PROCERAT will help finance the competency certification of technical personnel for free to 800 people through the State Budget of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

"PROSERAT is a competency training and certification program for level 2 installations targeting the participants of the seamats, builders, and the community who have been installing electrical power installations in homes without having a competency certificate for electrical engineering personnel," said the Technical and Environmental Director. According to Nugroho, the PROCERAT is also given to prospective workers who will work in development service business entities and install electrical power installations as installations in their domicile areas. A total of 800 participants targeted this year include North Sumatra Province, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan.

This PROSERATE, called Nugroho, aims to reduce the installation of low-voltage electrical installations installed by incompetent installations and unlicensed business entities, installed by stone workers/building carpentry who do not yet have a competency certificate.

"Installation of installations by competent personnel results in the quality of the results of the work is not in accordance with standards and has the potential to be dangerous for humans and the installation of electricity itself," said Nugroho.

This program is also expected to improve the competence of prospective electrical engineering personnel, especially the installation of low-voltage electricity installation installation installation installations.

The Directorate General of Electricity is collaborating with the Coal Mineral Education and Training Center (PPSDM Geominerba) and PPSDM KEBTKE as the organizer of the PROCERAT program training through this year's APBN. The implementation of training/training will be carried out offline for 1 day, while the competency test will be carried out in a hybrid, offline and online manner.

For 2022, PPSDM GEOMINERBA will carry out training and competency tests in four provinces, namely West Java, Banten, East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan with a total target of 500 participants. Meanwhile, PPSDM KEBTKE will carry out training and competency tests in two provinces, namely Central Java and North Sumatra with a total target of 300 participants.
