JAKARTA – The Ministry of Transportation together with the Penta Ocean-Toyo-Rinkai-PP-Wika-Jakon Consortium signed Package 6: Construction of Container Terminal No. 2, as a phase 1-2 development project for Patimban Port.
The contract signing was carried out by the KSOP Class II Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Patimban Yanuar Ardiansyah and the Consortium Representative, Mr. Hiromu Shinoda, today, in the Sriwijaya Room, Ministry of Transportation Office, Jakarta.
This package 6 contract activity is a continuation project of the Patimban Port construction phase 1-1 with the scope of work including the construction of an additional 419-meter long Container Pier, and reclamation work for the construction of a 27-hectare Container Terminal.
As well as dredging shipping lanes and harbor pools to a depth of -14 meters. Furthermore, construction work is planned to be completed within 34 months.
Director General of Sea Transportation Arif Toha said the signing of this activity contract was a form of realizing the mandate to continue to build Patimban Port as one of the National Strategic Projects.

They are a consortium consisting of Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd., Toyo Construction Co., Ltd., Rinkai Nissan Construction Co., Ltd., PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk., PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. and PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama, Tbk. which formed the Penta Ocean-Toyo-Rinkai-PP-Wika-Jakon Consortium.
The determination is stated in the Letter of the Minister of Transportation Number PL.104/2/25 PHB 2022 dated October 7, 2022, regarding the Approval of the Determination of Winners of Work Package 6 (Container Terminal No.02 Construction) Patimban Port Development Project Phase (1-2).
Arif added that the package 6 work will complete the work in Phase 1-1 and it is hoped that after the package 6 work is completed, the total length of the built container dock is 840 meters, the container terminal area reaches a total of 40 hectares and shipping lanes with a depth of -14 meters.
"Thus, it can increase the capacity of the container terminal to a total of 2 million TEUs and the shipping lanes can be traversed by giant container ships with a size of 61,000 DWT that can carry up to 4,600 TEUs", said Arif.
Arif hopes that all the implementation processes for the construction of the Patimban Port package 6 can run according to the targets that have been set.

Furthermore, Arif hopes that the existence of this project will be able to have a positive impact on improving the economy of the surrounding community and the national economy.
"In the future, the Patimban Port in Subang, West Java, is targeted to be able to accommodate a capacity of 7.5 million TEUs annually for containers, and 600,000 vehicles", he said.
