Keep The Target Production Achievement, PGN Salurkan Gas 890 BBTU To The Rokan Block

PGN's Director of Strategy and Business Development Heru Setiawan said that gas distribution will last during the period of periodic maintenance (turn around) for gas supplier PHE Jambi Merang on October 11-20, 2022.

According to him, the distribution of gas with domestic LNG sources through the optimization of the Lampung FSRU will help oil lifting in the Rokan Block while the Jambi PHE gas supplier, Merang, does not distribute gas during the turn around period.

"The distribution of natural gas to the Rokan Working Area is a synergy between Subholding Gas and Upstream Subholding in Pertamina Group and also synergy with PT PLN (Persero) within the scope of SOEs to maintain the resilience of domestic energy production after the management of WK Rokan. Success in maintaining production performance has made the Rokan Block able to contribute 24 percent of national oil production," he said in a statement received by VOI, Friday, October 14.

Heru continued, in addition to fulfilling Pertamina's domestic refinery consumption, PGN's support in order to maintain Rokan's production capabilities is expected to help meet the government's target, namely 1 million BOPD oil and 12 BSCFD gas by 2030.

The distribution of gas to PHR, he added, could not be separated from the support of relevant stakeholders, namely SKK Migas, PLN, PT Medco Energy (MEPG), PT Transport Gas Indonesia (TGI), and other parties.

Gas subholding as a national gas aggregator is ready to support energy security, one of which is for natural oil lifting through reliable gas distribution.

The synergy between PGN and PHR is also part of the positive impact of the oil and gas holding transformation which creates integrated infrastructure and accelerates volume growth to realize national energy independence.
