Accelerate The Lake Toba KSPN Project, Hutama Karya Use Technology Building Information Modelling

Entering the fourth quarter of 2022, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) is trusted by the government through the Ministry of PUPR to work on a new project of the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) Super Priority Lake Toba worth IDR 161 billion.

The company will use Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology to accelerate development.

Director of Operations II Hutama Karya Gunadi said the technology was used in designing optimal designs.

Thus, according to the quality and target time of completion contract in September 2023.

Gunadi said, the KSPN project is in line with government policies to form 10 tourism authorities in leading destinations.

"We hope that the KSPN Toba arrangement project will later increase the target of obtaining Indonesian foreign exchange and become a tourism destination that attracts tourists," Gunadi said in an official statement, quoted Friday, October 14.

The work on tourist facilities carried out by the company include the arrangement of the Waterfront City Pangururan area and the Lake Toba KSPN Tele Area including the arrangement of the Tano and Boru Saniangnaga Boraspati Statues; Pustaha and Syair Tao Toba Statues, Toba Geological Rock Display; and 'Aek Mencerain' Fountain Arts Attraction.

Then, Panggung Apung Aek Natio, Installation of Aek Margondang Music Arts; Grand Park and Plantation of Dry Fountain Praza Rohani; Samosir Gallery Display Installation; Installation of Solu Bolon Traditional Arts; and Totem Batak Ukir Art Installation.

In addition, the scope of the work includes Storytelling Signages Pangururan Waterfront; Video Motion Graphics 'The Magnificent Toba' for the Samosir Gallery; Video for Waterscreen Projection; Tarombo Batak Art Installation and Storytelling Signages Tele Areas.

Gunadi said, the work on the arrangement of Hutama Karya's works is in collaboration with international artists, Batak cultural experts and supervisory personnel to ensure the accuracy of the placement and quality of the results of the installation of works of art in a good and perfect manner.

In addition, to support KSPN Lake Toba Hutama Karya has also boosted the development of supporting infrastructure. In this case, the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS).

President Director of Hamawas Dindin Solakhuddin explained, to go to Lake Toba, Hutama Karya through its subsidiary, PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas) worked on JTTS Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat with a total length of about 103 km, which was divided into 4 sections and 1 junction.

Section 1 Tebing Tinggi-Inderapura 20.4 km, section 2 Inderapura-Kuala Tanjung 18.05 km, section 3 Tebing Tinggi-Serbelawan 30 km, section 4 Serbelawan-Pematang Siantar 28 km, and junction Tebing Tinggi 7 km.

"The construction progress of the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat toll road as of September 2022, for section 1 Tebing Tinggi-Inderapura has reached 93 percent, section 2 Inderapura-Kuala Tanjung has reached 70.8 percent," he said.

Then, section 3 of Tebing Tinggi-Serbelawan reached 62.6 percent, section 4 of Serbelawan-Pematang Siantar reached 55.3 percent, and the Tebing Tinggi junction reached 60.9 percent.

The presence of this JTTS can shorten the travel time for motorists from Medan City to the Lake Toba Tourism Area or vice versa from 4 hours to just 2 hours, connecting several cities and regencies, namely Tebing Tinggi City, Batu Bara Regency, Simalungun Regency, Pematang Siantar City, and Toba Samosir Regency, as well as supporting economic growth in North Sumatra.
