BENGKULU - The price of red chilies in Bengkulu City has again increased, which was previously around Rp. 40,000 per kilogram to Rp. 60,000 per kilogram.

"Currently, chili prices have increased again over the past week," said one trader at the Bengkulu City market, Beni Sinaga, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, October 11. In addition to red chili, the price of shallots has also increased, which previously ranged from Rp. 35,000 per kilogram to Rp. 40,000 per kilogram. Then for other basic necessities, such as chicken eggs and broiler, it returned to normal, which some time ago experienced an increase. For broiler eggs, it is currently Rp. 44,000 per carpet filled with 30 pills, which previously was Rp. 50,000 and the chicken cut to Rp. 28,000, which was previously Rp. 35,000 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the Department of Industry and Trade of Bengkulu Province said the availability of basic necessities in distributor warehouses was sufficient to meet the needs of the community until the end of the year. "The availability of food needs in Bengkulu Province is also safe until the end of the year," said Head of the Bengkulu Province Disperindag Yennita Syaiful.
