Member Of Commission VII Of The DPR Asks For Distribution Of BLT Ojol To Be Specially Carried Out

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VII DPR RI Mulyanto asked the distribution of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for Oil Fuel (BBM) for online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) to be carried out specifically.

This is so that BLT is right on target for groups of workers who are directly affected by the increase in fuel prices.

According to him, the accuracy of the data currently used is still not right.

"It is better if the Government distributes BBM Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for ojol drivers specifically through application entrepreneurs so that they are right on target," said Mulyanto in his statement, Wednesday, October 5.

Just so you know, currently BLT for drivers and ojol is distributed in general through villages or sub-districts.

Mulyanto admitted that he received many complaints from the ojol community who complained that many ojol drivers did not receive BLT assistance from the government for various reasons, such as regarding domicile ID cards, limited quotas or not registered, and others.

In fact, he said, they really need this assistance, considering that the increase in existing ojol tariffs is not comparable to the increase in subsidized fuel prices.

In addition, ojol drivers also complain that Pertalite consumption is getting more and more wasteful and severe acceleration. They felt that after the government raised the price of Pertalite.

"The government must seriously pay attention to these questions. Don't let people suffer even more. Even though the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has not gone true. Now the increase in subsidized fuel prices has triggered an increase in the price of basic goods for the community which makes their lives even heavier," he concluded.
