Present To BUMN Startup Day 2022, SiCepat Express Reach In Cooperation With Telkom, Perum Bulog, To Ready To Use Electric Vehicles

JAKARTA - A company engaged in services and goods delivery, SiCepat Express also supports the government in uniting synergies between SOEs and startups by participating in the business matching and exhibition agenda at the BUMN Startup Day 2022 event.

The SOE Startup Day 2022 activity was held by the Ministry of SOEs on 27-28 September at ICE BSD City, South Tangerang, Banten.

In the business matching agenda of SOE Startup Day 2022, SiCepat met and discussed directly with PT Telkom Indonesia, Tbk and Perum Bulog regarding business potential and cooperation.

On that occasion, The Kim Hai as the Chief Executive Officer of SiCepat Express and Diaz Hendropriyono as Commissioner of SiCepat Express explained about the Volta electric motorcycle used by SiCepat Express to President Joko Widodo and Minister of SOEs Erick Tohir.

SiCepat explained that the company is currently in the process of transitioning operational vehicles to electric vehicles, and is targeted to be realized by the end of 2022.

The Chief Executive Officer of SiCepat Express The Kim Hai said that as a start-up company that collaborates with millennials as human resources, SiCepat supports the government's movement to equalize digital progress in today's economic growth.

"We also provide opportunities for colleagues who join us to not only work, but also opportunities to be able to develop our potential professionally in the midst of digital progress," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, September 28.

Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in his remarks to open this event said that Indonesia has a very growing and very large digital market potential so that Indonesia needs to prepare a strategy so that it is not far behind by other countries.

"I believe that we can achieve the acceleration in order to build a society and a digital ecosystem," said Jokowi.

On this occasion, SOE Minister Erick Thohir explained the five goals of organizing SOE Startup Day, namely business matching, pitching investors, rapid mentoring startups, conferences, and exhibitions.

According to Erick, the event was attended by 250 startups that have been adjusted to 12 clusters at the Ministry of SOEs, 150 excavators, 22 state-owned companies that are trying to see the potential for business matching at the startup, as well as about five thousand visitors.

"Proyeksi tahun 2030, ekonomi digital Indonesia akan menjadi terbesar di Asia Tenggara yaitu 40 persen dari total ekonomi yang ada di Asia Tenggara untuk digital atau kurang lebih senilai Rp4,500 triliun," kata Erick.

Erick said this momentum also coincides with the number of Indonesians under the age of 35 years. "So we must take advantage of the continuity between the digital economy and its resources," concluded Erick.
