Formed Official PLN Holding And Subholding, This Is A Message From Erick Thohir

JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) has officially formed holding and subholding on the company's body.

This inauguration was legally carried out by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir and attended by the President Director of PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo.

Darmawan explained that the establishment of holding and subholding is expected to be able to optimize power plant assets owned by PLN.

With all of that, he continued, the business process will be more efficient and utilize more optimal assets.

"In this process, our power plant assets that are still paraded are consolidated in the form of subholding. The process of processing power plant assets is more compact and efficient", said Darmawan in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 21.

In addition, PLN has also formed an Indonesian Primary Energy subhodling tasked with procuring coal for steam power plants (PLTU) owned by PLN.

Previously, PLTU coal owned by PLN was at 5 points and would be consolidated at one point to make it more efficient.

"The direction of the Ministry (BUMN) is the procurement of coal which was previously spread over 5 points which were consolidated at one point to be effective and efficient", he said.

To accelerate the acceleration of the energy transition to New Renewable Energy (EBT), said Darmawan, PLN has also formed a new entity, namely Renewable Energy (RNE) and also Geothermal.

Not only that, Darmawan also revealed that PLN will form a new line of business, namely Beyond Kilowatt Power which plays a role in developing electricity assets such as internet services, PLN Market Place, EV Charging and swab batteries and PLN Mobile.

"With this holding and subholding, the PLN business is more efficient, asset utilization can be more optimal. We are also building something much more fit in facing the challenges of the times", he said.

SOE Minister Erick Thohir revealed that PLN is the heart of Indonesia.

The reason is, industrialization requires electricity, which is currently the responsibility of PLN.

"Of course, Indonesia is heading for industrialization, so that ecolifestyle has increased demand, as well as its derivative business. So that PLN becomes the heart", said Erick.

For this reason, he asked that the transformation that had been carried out could go according to plan and benefit all parties.
