Regulation Sudah Direlis, Kementerian ESDM Segera Terbitkan Juknis Pemanfaatan PLTS Atap

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) will soon issue technical instructions (juknis) regarding the utilization of the roof's Solar Power Plant (PLTS). This step is part of the Ministerial Regulation (Permen) of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 26/2021 concerning the Solar Power Plant of the Athlete Connected Solar Power in the Electric Power Network of the Power Company for the Provision of Electricity for General Interest.

Director General of EBTKE at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Dadan Kusdiana explained, to clarify the rules regarding roof PLTS, later the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will issue technical instructions that also regulate the capacity that can be installed and regarding the use of roof PLTS.

"There is already a regulation issued by the government for the Athlete PLTS and now in the field there are many discussions and challenges regarding how much capacity can be used in households or in commercial buildings or in industry. In the next one to two weeks we will issue technical instructions," he said in Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday, September 20.

Dadan continued, previously there had been discussions about the capacity to install roof PLTS that could be installed at home.

Dadan said that PLTS Shop users want to install 2 Kilo Watt Hour (kWh) roof electric power, but PT PLN (Persero) only allows 1.5 kWh, so it will be adjusted.

"There are things that are currently being resolved by us together with PLN so that the use of PLTS can be accelerated. I want to install 2 KW but PLN only wants to install half of KW. That's what is being resolved, he added.

Based on the principle, Dadan continued, this roof PLTS will only be used by itself and will not be sold to PLN. However, if later anyone wants to sell their electricity to PLN, the juknis will also manage other processes.

"If you really want to sell it, there is another process. So the principle is production and use it yourself. This will be applied for technical guidelines, so later there will be no more in the field how much capacity is installed. Later there will be formulas and data that are a common reference so that it can accelerate the implementation of the PLTS Attop," concluded Dadan.
