JAKARTA - The fast food restaurant franchise company KFC, namely PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST) targets sales until the end of 2022 to grow 26 percent compared to 2021. That means, the company whose shares are owned by Ricardo Gelael and conglomerate Anthony Salim can reach IDR 6.2 trillion-IDR 6.3 trillion.
FAST Director Wahjudi Martono explained, the projected sales are based on the calculation of the contribution of sales growth from existing outlets and new outlets. Until the end of 2022, FAST is targeting an additional 25 new KFC outlets and 2 Kangu Bell outlets.
"Most of them are targeted from sales of existing outlets and from new outlets with a total increase of 26 percent," Wahjudi said in the 2022 Public Expose Live, Tuesday, September 13.
Wahjudi further said that the company is also targeting an increase in the average sales transaction value per visit from Rp. 68,000 to Rp. 73,000.
"In terms of transactions, the average is 22 percent, but in terms of the total sales, it has reached more than 8 percent of the target," he said.
Along with the increase in sales targets, Wahjudi said FAST is also targeting to record profit for the year in the range of Rp90 billion to Rp140 billion by the end of the year. This number increased significantly from the current year's loss which was recorded at Rp295.73 billion in 2021.
As of June 30, 2022, FAST recorded a profit for the year of Rp32.66 billion, reversing from a loss position of Rp76.91 billion in the first semester of 2021. FAST's profit could not be separated from the increase in revenue in the first semester of 2022 which reached 18.01 percent yoy, from Rp2.42 trillion in the first semester of 2021 to Rp2.86 trillion in the first semester of 2021.
The majority of FAST's revenue was supported by sales of food and drinks to third parties which reached Rp2.84 trillion, up from the realization in the same period last year of Rp2.40 trillion.
Meanwhile, based on the geographical segment, the Jakarta restaurant service center (RSC) is the largest contributor to revenue with a value of Rp. 1.03 trillion and followed by other regions with a total of Rp. 846.99 billion.
Along with the increase in revenue, FAST's cost of goods sold also increased 16.04 percent yoy to Rp1.08 trillion, compared to Rp933.30 billion in the first semester of 2022. However, KFC still posted a gross profit of Rp1.78 trillion, an increase of 19.38 percent compared to Rp1.49 trillion in the first semester of 2021.
