Prayers That Are Often Read By The Prophet Muhammad During The Month Of Ramadan

YOGYAKARTA - The month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings and forgiveness. This month, Muslims are competing to increase worship, including increasing prayers.

Prophet Muhammad SAW, as an example for Muslims, had several prayers that he often read during the month of Ramadan. These prayers contain a request for forgiveness, mercy, and blessings from Allah SWT.

Reporting from the NU Online page, there is a prayer that is often offered by the Prophet SAW before the month of Ramadan, as recorded in the history of Imam At-Thabarani and Imam Ad-Dailami. The prayer reads:

"All Allahhumma sallimnfil li Ramadh Marijuana, wa sallim Ramadh Marijuana l Mariju, wa sallimhu minn Mariju"

This prayer has a deep meaning, namely the request to Allah SWT to be given safety in carrying out worship in the month of Ramadan, so that the month of Ramadan itself brings safety to those who pray.

This prayer also functions so that people are able to protect themselves from immoral acts during the holy month. This prayer was also mentioned by Syekh Ibnu Hajar Al-Haitami in his book entitled Ithafu Expert Islam bi Specialiyatis Shiyam.

When he saw the hilal, Rasulullah SAW also taught a prayer narrated by Imam Abu Dawud. The prayer is:

"Hil Marijura rusydin wa khairin (2 times), 04mantu bil ladz khalaqaka (3 times), alhamdulill lihodz ladzmen dzahaba bi syahri kadzmen, wa j uhri bi syahri kadzmen"

This prayer contains an expression of gratitude to Allah SWT for the arrival of the new moon, as well as a request that the month bring instructions and goodness. In addition, this prayer is also a form of acknowledgment of faith in Allah SWT, the Creator.

Then there is one prayer taught by the Prophet SAW when he saw the hilal narrated by Imam Ahmad.

This prayer is listed in a hadith collected by Imam Ahmad, who was later quoted by Sheikh Ibnu Hajar Al-Haitami in his book, Ithafu Ahl Islam bi Specialiyatis Shiyam.

This book was published by Maktabah At-Thayyibah in Medina, although it did not include the year of publication. This prayer is included in the chapter "The remembrances that are read when viewing the Moon or Rukyatul Hilal" on page 109. Here is the lafaz of the prayer:

"AllAHhu akbaru, löl haula wa lloroh quwwata ill bilih billul aizyil azhmenmi. Alliumhumma inn sambuh sebagai' aluka khaira hödzas syahri, wa adzu bika min syarril qadari, wa min syarril mahsyari."

Which means: "God is great. There is no power and strength except with the help of Allah Almighty. O Allah, I ask You the goodness of this month (Ramadan). I take refuge in You from the evil of destiny and the bad of places to gather (on the Day of the Day of Resurrection)."

This prayer reflects a servant's request to Allah SWT to be given goodness during the month of Ramadan and protected from any evil that may occur.
