Only 3 Percent Of Vehicles Register The Proper Subsidy Program, Pertamina Will Integrate Data With Korlantas

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) noted that there were 2 million vehicles that had registered for the subsidy program exactly until September 7, 2022. In detail, 1.45 million vehicles registered for Pertalite and 645,787 vehicles registered for subsidized diesel.

"For 4-wheeled vehicles out of 33 million vehicles, only 2 million have registered. Only about 6.4 percent of the total four-wheeled vehicles," said Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati at a Hearing Meeting with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Thursday, September 8.

Meanwhile, for vehicles that register through websites and applications, 2,052,254 vehicles were recorded and 48,925 vehicles registered via Pertamina booth.

Of the 2 million vehicles that registered, only about 36 percent or about 763,755 vehicles had the right to drink subsidized fuel, while 13 percent had the right to drink subsidized fuel or about 275,466 vehicles. "Vehicles that are on progress verification of 1.06 million vehicles or 51 percent," he continued.

With the achievement of registrants who are still below 10 percent, Nicke said, his party cannot wait until all vehicles register for the subsidy program properly. Pertamina will also use Traffic Corps (Korlantas) data to be synchronized with data on subsidized fuel recipients.

"We can't wait until all of this is registered. Even though we hope that the revision of the Presidential Regulation will be official as soon as possible. So the way we do is to integrate data with Korlantas. We withdraw the data where the data contains a police number, CC, and there are types of vehicles so that when the regulations come out we can immediately lock it up with that data," explained Nicke.

Nicke also ensures that the distribution of fuel with MyPertamina will be more effective because later each vehicle will only hold 1 QR Code when buying fuel.

This targeted subsidy is important, considering that the Government itself has contributed greatly to allocating funds of up to IDR 520 trillion for energy subsidies in 2022. In ensuring this energy subsidy, Pertamina must also comply with applicable regulations, such as Presidential Regulation No. 191/2014 and Decree (SK) Head of BPH Migas No. 04/P3JBT/BPH Migas/KOM/2020.
