Pertalite Price Rumored To Be Rising, Staff Erick Thohir Remembers The Community Don't Be Panic Buying

JAKARTA - The government plans to immediately increase the price of fuel oil (BBM), especially the type of Pertalite and Solar subsidized.

Related to this, the Ministry of SOEs is committed to maintaining the availability of fuel in the field to hold back so that there is no panic buying.

The Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, said that his party as the implementer of the policy through the state-owned company PT Pertamina (Persero) was still waiting for government directives.

As I said, please ask the Ministry of Finance and ESDM for fuel, we are only implementers, Pertamina is the executor. The regulator there, we are the executor, the important thing is that we are prepared, available. I don't know, the Ministry of Finance and ESDM. Pertamina is just waiting to be told like this," he told reporters, Monday, August 29.

Furthermore, Arya said, Pertamina only plays a role in providing fuel and cannot intervene in subsidized policies.

Currently, said Arya, the stock or supply of fuel is ensured to be in a safe condition.

Even so, Arya still asked the public to withhold excessive fuel consumption so that there would be no shortages in the field.

"Don't panic buying, later if panic buying makes many people who can't get Pertalite, it's a pity because of panic buying. Don't panic buying, just wait for the government's policy," he explained.

Arya said the government and Pertamina are always committed to ensuring the availability of fuel supply.

In addition, said Arya, the accuracy of the distribution of subsidized fuel is also being intensified through the MyPertamina system.

"We are holding back, in accordance with availability, there are then we try to overcome those who buy a lot, hold them back," he said.
