Bank Mandiri KUR Disbursement Reaches Rp24 Trillion At The End Of July, Majority To The Productive Sector

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk has succeeded in distributing people's business loans (KUR) of Rp. 24.2 trillion until the end of July 2022.

Bank Mandiri SEVP Micro & Consumer Finance, Josephus K Triprakoso, said that this figure grew 7.5 percent year on year (yoy), compared to the July 2021 position of only IDR 22.5 trillion.

"In detail, the majority of the KUR distribution or as much as 59.5 percent has been allocated to sectors with a productive value of IDR 14.4 trillion. As for the non-productive sector, it is Rp 9.8 trillion," he said in a written statement on Tuesday, August 23.

According to Josephus, in the business sector, the realization of KUR distribution was absorbed, among others, into the agricultural sector by 29.1 percent, the production services sector by 20 percent, the manufacturing industry sector at 8.2 percent and the fisheries sector at 1.9 percent.

"Our efforts to encourage the distribution of KUR are also the engine of MSME loan growth and are reflected in the credit growth of this sector in the first semester of 2022 by 12.5 percent," he said.

Seeing the trend that continues to improve, his party is optimistic that MSME lending has growth prospects until the end of the year while still prioritizing the principle of prudence.

"Bank Mandiri's KUR in 2022 will remain focused on the leading productive sectors in each region, including agriculture, fisheries, processing industries, and production services supported by synergies from all business segments, strong coordination throughout the network, and cooperation. strategically with financial and e-commerce companies," explained Josephus.

To note, the government's target for the BMRI stock code bank is to be able to distribute KUR of Rp 40 trillion, an increase compared to the 2021 ceiling of Rp 35 trillion.

"This is in line with Bank Mandiri's commitment to continue to support the people's business sector in order to accelerate the national economic recovery," he concluded.
