BRI Collaborates With Mirae Asset Sekuritas To Expand Capital Market Investment To The Community

JAKARTA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. (BRI) is said to be collaborating with PT Mirae Asset Sekuritas Indonesia to expand investment opportunities in the context of democratizing investment through digitalization.

BRI Director of Consumer Business Handayani said that through BRI's collaboration with Mirae Asset Sekuritas, investors will be able to experience using the latest digitalization technology products to open investment accounts online.

"Of course we always try to meet all the needs of our customers so that the company welcomes this collaboration. In addition, BRI also takes part in the investment democratization movement initiated by Mirae Asset Sekuritas so that people can become financially aware to start investing in the capital market," he said in an official statement on Sunday, July 31.

According to Handayani, both parties agreed to provide online capital market financial transaction services and increase banking financial awareness.

Meanwhile, the technology used in opening an online investment account (OOA) includes paperless documentation. Then it is equipped with a digital face similarity check (face comparison), automatic ID card data equalization through Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and an online signature.

"BRI as the largest state-owned bank with branches with the widest distribution is ready to synergize with Mirae Asset Sekuritas as a securities company with the largest share transaction value in Indonesia. It is hoped that the collaboration of the two largest companies in their respective industries will be able to reach more people," he said.

Along with the intention to democratize investment, financial literacy and investment that will be run jointly by Mirae Asset Sekuritas and BRI can make people throughout Indonesia more financial and investment conscious.
