JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) is recorded to have served as many as 22,841,044 passenger movements at 15 airports managed or grew 55.9 percent (yoy) in the first semester of 2022.

"When compared to the first semester of 2021, there is a growth of 55.9 percent for passenger movements. The record in the past period was 14,651,206 passenger movements," said PT Angkasa Pura I President Director Faik Fahmi in a statement in Jakarta, Friday. .

Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport ranks second with 4,717,286 passenger movements, with details of 3,577,394 passenger movements on domestic routes, 15,936 passenger movements on international routes, and 1,123,956 transit passengers.

I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali serves the third largest number of passengers with 4,297,577 passenger movements, with details of 3,543,861 passengers traveling on domestic routes, 752,235 passenger movements on international routes, and 1,481 transit passengers.

For aircraft movements, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport serves the most aircraft movements with a total of 38,649 flights, with details of 38,535 flights on domestic routes and 104 flights on international routes.

Juanda Airport Surabaya serves the second largest aircraft movement with a total of 36,050 flights, with details of 34,602 flights on domestic routes and 1,448 flights on international routes.

Meanwhile, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport serves the third largest aircraft movement with a total of 31,869 flights.

For cargo movement, Sentani Jayapura Airport served the most cargo movement with 63,150 tons of movement, followed by Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar with 40,074 tons, and Juanda Airport in Surabaya with 34,391 tons of cargo movement.

"We are optimistic that for semester 2 of 2022, we will experience even better growth compared to semester 1 of 2022, both in terms of growth in passenger movements, aircraft movements, and cargo movements," he said.
