Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto appealed that people who are still looking for work or have just graduated from school or college, are highly expected to join this program.

Airlangga said, the Pre-Employment Card is one of the government's mainstay programs to improve people's abilities and skills to enter the world of work and business.

"Please for the community to join the Pre-Employment Card program, make the best use of it to add skills, insight, and networking in doing business," said Airlangga in a statement, Tuesday, July 19.

The chairman of the Golkar Party added that anyone can register for the Pre-Employment Card Program as long as they meet the requirements.

Airlangga ensured that the Pre-Employment Card requirements would not burden prospective participants.

Evidently, since the program was first launched until April 2022, the number of Pre-Employment Card registrants has exceeded 86 million people.

"In 2020 and 2021, the number of participants accepted in the Pre-Employment Card Program is 11.4 million people. This number will continue to increase in 2022," said Airlangga.

Airlangga added that the Pre-Employment Card also received appreciation from participants and independent institutions at home and abroad.

Based on a survey by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in February, 84.18 percent of participants admitted that the Pre-Employment Card can improve work skills.

"This is a positive achievement, and the government is committed to continuing to provide skill improvement programs like this to accelerate the ability of national human resources. This is in accordance with Indonesia's Golden Vision 2045," said Airlangga.
