JAKARTA - For national business circles, the name Hermanto Tanoko is known as one of the conglomerates with successful business ownership. He is known to have founded Tancorp which is the parent entity of various companies, one of which is PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA) which is a manufacturer of Avian branded paint.

“When we walked around we were surprised that all the systems here were automated and sophisticated. When we take an item, it will be detected by the camera and will be added to our bill. However, when you put it back in its place, the bill doesn't come true," he said via his Instagram account @htanoko on Saturday, July 16.

According to Hermanto, enjoying the sensation of shopping with 4.0 technology is a quite pleasant experience as well as gaining new knowledge from the development of the global business world.]

"Even though it's just a visit, this is a memorable moment for me and my family," he said.

He explained that the Amazon Whole Foods Market is the largest and most famous supermarket in America. The retail venture's journey found a turning point in 2017 when it was annexed by Amazon.

Meanwhile, the company was previously engaged in pioneering natural and organic foods. Amazon had to spend 13.7 billion US dollars, equivalent to Rp. 178 trillion, and became the largest acquisition deal in the company's history.

For information, Amazon Inc. is a business conglomerate owned by Jeff Bezos that focuses on technology-style businesses. Jeff Bezos himself is a billionaire world with abundant wealth.

His name often occupies the top position as the richest person in the world, alternating with Tesla founder Elon Musk. Citing the Bloomberg Billionaires Index report today, Jeff Bezos is estimated to have a net worth of 137 billion US dollars, or around Rp. 2,000 trillion.

As a comparison, the total wealth of this bald man is almost equivalent to the realization of the Indonesian government's income throughout last year which was recorded at IDR 2,011 trillion in the 2021 State Budget.
