JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Irto Ginting said the use of the MyPertamina QR Code would reduce the number of frauds, such as manipulation of fuel dosages.
This is because the QR Code is systemically connected between the EDC machine and the fuel pump at the gas station.
"It is hoped that when the QR is operational, there will be no more cheating in the field," said Irto at a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday, June 30.
Irto added that Pertamina stated that it did not require consumers to use the MyPertamina application.
Consumers only need to register through the subsiditepat.mypertamina.id page and prepare documents in the form of an ID card, vehicle registration certificate, vehicle photos, email addresses, and other supporting documents.
The data that has been registered will be verified or matched with the suitability of the requirements.
If all of these are met, a maximum of seven working days will result in the user being registered and receiving a QR code via email or via notification on the MyPertamina page.
If they receive a notification that says there is a lack or incompatibility of documents, the consumer can try again to fill in the vehicle data and identity according to the recommendations for existing deficiencies.
Besides being accessed using the MyPertamina application, the QR code received can also be printed and physically brought to the gas station when you want to refill Pertalite and Solar.
The QR code will then be matched with the data by the gas station operator.
Meanwhile, customers who do not have the MyPertamina application and have not registered through the Pertamina website will provide a special registration booth for Pertamina users who cannot operate the MyPertamina application.
"Pertamina will provide registration booths at gas stations for people who do not have the MyPertamina application, and do not understand how to register on the subsiditepat.mypertamina.id website," said Irto.
For the initial stage, the implementation of the latest fuel distribution will be implemented in 11 regions in five provinces. After that, it was expanded to other areas.
The 11 regencies/cities that are required to use MyPertamina in purchasing Solar and Pertalite are Bukit Tinggi City, Agam Regency, Padang Panjang Regency, Tanah Datar Regency, Banjarmasin City, Bandung City, Tasikmalaya City, Ciamis Regency, Manado City, Yogyakarta City and Sukabumi City.
The eleven areas were chosen because of the characteristics of the location which is close to mines or industry and the readiness of infrastructure.
