JAKARTA - The movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) is predicted to continue its strengthening in today's trading, Friday, June 24, after yesterday's gain of 0.2 percent to the level of 6,998.26.

Throughout yesterday's trading, the JCI moved in the range of 6,920.73 - 7,010,27. Noted, 185 stocks rose, 332 stocks weakened and 166 stocks were stagnant.

Foreign investors recorded a net foreign sell of Rp1.35 trillion. The CEO of PT Yugen Bertumbuh Sekuritas, William Surya Wijaya, in his research explained that the weekend after the determination of the benchmark interest rate at the Board of Governors' Meeting, the JCI seemed to still feel at home in a reasonable consolidation range with limited opportunities for pressure.

"However, the potential for volatility in commodity prices will be able to provide sentiment towards the JCI movement pattern in the future," he explained.

William predicts the JCI has the potential to strengthen today with a range of 6,888 - 7,074. Meanwhile, some of the stocks he recommended today are SMRA, PWON, ASRI, BSDE, WTON, BBCA, BBRI, APLN, and BINA.
