Monitor Project Readiness, Special Working Visit Of Commission VII DPR To JTB

JAKARTA - Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR) again reviewed the readiness of the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Unitization Field Gas Development Project managed by PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) Zone 12 Regional East Indonesia Subholding Upstream Pertamina located in Bandungrejo Village, Ngasem , Bojonegoro, East Java.

Member of Commission VII Nasril Bahar said this visit was a follow-up to the meeting of the Committee for Basic Assumptions for the Energy and Mineral Resources Sector Commission VII of the DPR at the end of last month which agreed to hold a visit for the leaders and members of the Committee.

He added that this visit was one of the DPR's efforts to support the smooth implementation of the JTB Project.

"This JTB project is clearly very strategic and can provide great benefits for the lives of the people of Bojonegoro and other East Java as well as Central Java. Because with the fulfillment of energy from JTB there will be economic movement, which will also provide income for the country through gas sales so that JTB will become important pillar in fulfilling national energy," said Nasril in a written statement, Saturday, June 18.

Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto on the same occasion said that the JTB Project is one of the PSNs designed to process the production of 330 MMSCFD (million standard cubic feet per day) of input gas with a gas sales production capacity of 192 MMSCFD which will support the Electricity, Fertilizer and Industry sectors. on the island of Java.

"This project has an estimated project development cost of approximately Rp. 22 trillion with a Domestic Component Level Commitment (TKDN) of 40 percent. We feel that this working visit is very important to be able to provide up-to-date information on the progress and targets of project completion to Mr and Mrs. Member of the Council," continued Dwi.

Meanwhile, PEPC President Director Awang Blueuardi explained, JTB, like other industrial sectors, was also affected by the COVID-19 pandemic situation, but all efforts, hard work and various breakthroughs continued to be made so that this project could be completed immediately.

Still according to Awang, the current achievement leaves less than 4 percent.

"Some time in the future JTB will enter the Gas-In phase to then enter start-up and Gas on Stream," said Awang.

Besides being attended by 13 members of the DPR, the Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto, Deputy Head of SKK Migas Fatar Yani Abdurrahman, Deputy Operations Julius Wiratno, Acting Head of Program & Communication Division M Kemal, Head of SKK Migas Representative Jabanusa Nurwahidi and his staff accompanied by the Director of Development and Production of Upstream Subholding Wiko Migantoro, President Director of PEPC Awang Lazuardi, and Acting General Manager of JTB Gas Ruby Mulyawan along with management from the Eastern Indonesia Region and Zone 12.

The JTB project is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) for the energy sector set by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo through Presidential Decree No. 109 of 2020.

This project is expected to become one of the largest gas producers in Indonesia.

The gas supply from JTB will provide gas availability for Java Island and is expected to increase the economic progress of the people in the area through the stretching of the business world.

It is planned that the JTB gas project will start operating this year.
