Minister Of Trade Zulkifli Hasan Visits The Market Again, This Is What He Did

JAKARTA - The Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, returned to the market on the second day after being sworn in on Wednesday, June 15 yesterday.

This time, Zulkifli Hasan visited Koja Baru Market, North Jakarta.

"The second day of work, as much as possible, we must quickly absorb and map the existing problems. So I will focus on the remaining one year, two years on managing food availability and affordable prices. Currently, I am monitoring the effectiveness of the migration program of two liters per KTP. there are no obstacles," Zulkifli Hasan told reporters, Friday, June 17.

The man who is familiarly called Zulhas admitted that he had coordinated with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment as the Head of the Migor Task Force which is currently still effective.

"We continue to study, coordination is also going well. God willing, there will be a solution soon. Although it is gradual, we prioritize the interests of the people," he said.

Zulhas also explained that the government will ensure that everything goes according to the existing scheme, Domestic Market Obligation (DMO), Domestic Price Obligation (DPO), and people's bulk cooking oil will be available to the public at affordable prices.

"I checked here, the fair price is IDR 15,000 per kilogram. We continue to try to make it more suitable. I also pay attention to the quality and cleanliness of bulk migraine. We have to think about it together because until now the only country that still has bulk migraines is Indonesia and Bangladesh," he said.

To ensure affordable prices, said Zulhas, the government hopes for cooperation between the community and business actors to report to the Food Task Force or related institutions if there are violations in the field.

"This morning I asked to set up a crisis center and task force for migrant workers. There is currently a hotline (phone line). The Ministry of Trade will put all its resources and efforts into making this a success," he said.

Not only that, the Minister of Trade Zulhas will coordinate with the Minister of Agriculture to ensure the condition of supply of basic commodities so as to ensure the affordability of prices.

"Regarding agriculture, chili and so on. When I return from here I will contact the minister of agriculture, we will coordinate, so that the cause of the price increase is known and together we find a solution," he said.
