Boeing Can Claim Garuda's Receivables As Long As It Follows PKPU's Decision

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Irfan Setiaputra said Boeing management can claim its receivables after 30 days of the voting results being announced.

However, it must follow the results of the postponement of the Debt Payment Obligation (PKPU) announced by the Court.

Not only Boeing, this also applies to all creditors who do not follow the PKPU stages.

Irfan said creditors still have 30 days to declare their receivables.

There were 501 entities that participated in the PKPU process. Consists of creditors from local and global companies. This figure has also been verified by the Garuda Indonesia PKPU Management Team.

"After PKPU gets 30 days to declare its debt, but cannot participate in negotiations, cannot participate in voting, but must follow PKPU results," he said at the Central Jakarta District Court, Friday, June 17.

For your information, Boeing aircraft manufacturer, did not participate in registering with the Postponement of Debt Payment Obligation (PKPU) at the Central Jakarta Court. Meanwhile, Boeing's receivables from Garuda reached 822 million US dollars, equivalent to more than 10 trillion rupiah.

"Boeing did not register. But after this there is a 30-day opportunity. He has identified his classification but has not been verified. For this type of creditor, there is a 30-day opportunity after homologation," he explained.

Irfan explained that if Boeing did not register within 30 days after the PKPU results were decided by the court, then Garuda's debt to Boeing could be forfeited.

"If he (Boeing) is not registered, by law our rules will be (forgotten)," he said.

Previously, Irfan claimed that his party had obtained 50 + 1 of the total number of creditors (headcount).

This means that the majority of lessors, vendors, and creditors have agreed to the peace restructuring proposal submitted by issuers with the GIAA stock code through intensive negotiations.
