JAKARTA - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) brings the latest news regarding the planned return of trading hours. According to the Director of Trading and Regulation of IDX Members, Laksono Widodo, the plan is still under review by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

"While waiting for the pandemic to be officially declared over", Laksono told reporters, Thursday, June 16.

As is known, the IDX currently applies regular market trading hours for session I on Monday-Friday starting at 09:00-11:30 WIB and session II starting at 13:00-14:49 WIB.

Meanwhile, before the pandemic took place, the trading hours of the stock exchange started at 09:00, followed by the closing of the session I and the closing time at 16:30 WIB.

Even so, Laksono could not confirm whether the planned change in trading hours would be carried out or not after the government announced the pandemic had become endemic. "It could also be earlier depending on the joint assessment of the SRO and OJK", said Laksono.

Meanwhile, Laksono emphasized that there was no specific deadline for the assessment because the situation could change at any time.
