Occupying 5,400 Square Meters Of Land, Matahari Department Store Owned By Conglomerate Mochtar Riady Opens Outlet In Tangerang

JAKARTA - The retail company of the Lippo Group, owned by conglomerate Mochtar Riady, PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (LPPF) is in an expansive position. The company plans to expand its business by opening new outlets in August this year.

The outlet is located at Tang City Mall, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman No. 1, Cikokol, Tangerang, Banten. This outlet is the third outlet to be opened this year and the 30th outlet in Greater Jakarta.

“We are very excited to launch the new outlet at Tang City Mall sooner. The presence of this new Matahari store is part of our efforts to be closer to our community and strengthen market share in Greater Jakarta," said CEO of Matahari Department Store Terry O'Connor in a statement, Monday, June 13.

Terry said that his party is committed to serving metropolitan customers with a variety of high quality products and exclusive brands that please them with aspirational yet affordable fashion that looks good & feels comfortable. In addition, the company also believes that the location of this mall is in line with the atmosphere of Matahari stores in the future and customer aspirations.

With a new concept of a fresh and modern shopping atmosphere, Matahari believes that its presence in the area will present a different shopping choice than before, especially for customers in Tangerang. The arrangement of wider outlets with an area of approximately 5,400 square meters and high service standards make the presence of the newest Matahari outlets able to provide a pleasant shopping experience for the surrounding community.

"Matahari will use a 100 percent eco-friendly LED lighting system, and support the local community by having the majority of local employees in the booth," Terry added.

In addition, the store opening at Tang City Mall is in line with Matahari's plan to accelerate its expansion and seven more openings are scheduled this year, depending on conditions.

Previously, Matahari opened two new outlets at Taman Anggrek Mall Jakarta and Plaza Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta.
