Canned Company From Agung Sedayu Group, Owned By Conglomerate Sugianto Kusuma 'Aguan' Not Distributing Dividends

JAKARTA - A can packaging producer from the Agung Sedayu Group, which is owned by conglomerate Sugianto Kusuma "Aguan", PT Pratama Abadi Nusa Industri Tbk (PANI) stated that it will not distribute dividends to its shareholders this year. The decision was approved at the company's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS), Wednesday, June 8.

President Director of Pratama Abadi Nusa Industri Prili Soetantyo said that his party did not distribute dividends from net profit for the 2021 financial year of IDR 1.66 billion.

"We don't distribute dividends, but we put the proceeds into a reserve fund of 10 million, and the rest is put into retained earnings," Prili said in a PANI public expose.

For information, throughout 2021 Pratama Abadi Nusa Industri posted sales of Rp.282.8 billion. This sales increased 56.7 percent from last year's Rp180.4 billion.

Sales of the Agung Sedayu Group listed companies were mostly contributed by fishery product processing amounting to Rp268.8 billion, sales of cans Rp7.4 billion, then freezing services amounting to Rp2.06 billion, and cold storage storage services amounting to Rp4.5 billion.

With this sales performance, PANI posted a net profit of Rp1.66 billion. The company's net profit jumped 650 percent compared to 2020 which amounted to Rp221.3 million.

For information, since being listed on the stock exchange in 2018, PANI has never distributed dividends to its shareholders.
