Increase Gas Production To 15 MMSCFD, Pertamina EP Inaugurates Banyan Collecting Station A

JAKARTA – The Pertamina EP Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS) inaugurated the Banyan A Collecting Station (SP) in Beringin Village, Lubai District, Muara Enim Regency, on Monday 30 May.

SP, which is under the management of Pertamina Subholding Upstream Regional Sumatra Zone 4, aims to increase the production capacity of oil and gas (oil and gas) to reach 15 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) for gas and 382 barrels per day (bpd) for condensate.

General Manager of Zone 4 Agus Amperianto said SP Beringin A will accommodate and process gas and condensate from eight wells that will be developed by the Pertamina EP KKKS, while the operation of SP Beringin A will be carried out by Prabumulih Field.

"SP Beringin A can be utilized onstream according to schedule while mitigating the risk of spreading COVID-19 by implementing strict health protocols. In addition, 1,088,204 hours of safe working hours have been achieved as of May 17, 2022, without a single lost time incident (LTI). )," he said in a statement to the media, Tuesday, May 31.

Agus continued, in parallel with the procurement and installation of compressors, which will be completed in Q2 2023, the project team made an innovation, namely by doing onstream gas without using a gas compressor through a balance of plant that has been completed.

By revising the design, accuracy, and best engineering practices, SP Beringin A can drain the fluid from its wells. This innovation is not only useful to stay onstream on time but also avoids the project from additional preservation costs.

He continued, the commitment to increase oil and gas production from the South Sumatra region with the Spirit of Sustainable, MAssive, To Grow, Efficient, Resilient, and Aggressive (SUMATERA) so that oil and gas operations run safely, effectively, and superiorly, and can contribute significantly and sustainably to the achievement of national oil and gas production targets.

“The construction of SP Beringin A is one of our efforts to increase oil and gas production. The success of this development encourages our enthusiasm to continue to contribute to increasing oil and gas production from South Sumatra," said Agus.

The Head of SKK Migas Representative for Southern Sumatra Region, Anggono Mahendawan, expressed his appreciation for the Pertamina EP KKKS for successfully utilizing the onstream SP Beringin A.

"The construction of this SP increases oil and gas production capacity to reach 15 mmscfd for gas and 382 bpd for condensate. This increase is in line with efforts to achieve the national oil and gas production target of 1 million bopd for oil and 12 bscfd for gas by 2030, to support national energy security. We hope that Pertamina EP will continue to innovate, implement efficiency, and improve the quality of project management, human resource competence, and engineering, while still prioritizing work safety," concluded Anggono.
