Sandiaga Uno Makes Tens Of Millions Of MSMEs Advance Through The Digital Ecosystem

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno continues to build a digital ecosystem for MSMEs. He even targets 30 million MSMEs to enter the digital economy ecosystem.

Sandiaga said, currently there are 17 million MSMEs that have been digitized.

"So far, 17 million have been digitized. The target is that next year 30 million of our MSMEs will enter the digital economy ecosystem, or about half of the MSMEs in Indonesia," said Sandiaga in a written statement, Saturday, May 28.

Sandiaga hopes that Indonesia's product exports will increase through KKI's storefront programs, considering that previously Indonesian product exports could reach US$21 billion.

He hopes that MSME players can penetrate the global market so that they can support Indonesia's economic revival. Moreover, the world is currently experiencing uncertainty.

On the other hand, Sandiaga is optimistic that Indonesian MSMEs can move up in class and be competitive.

"With our digitalization, MSMEs that continue to be curated, I believe, will continue to open up opportunities. I am optimistic that there will be a transformation of my friends in MSMEs to advance to class, be competitive, so that they can open up business opportunities and job opportunities as widely as possible," he said.
