JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) inaugurated the 5th General Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) at Aeropolis Tangerang, Banten.

General Manager of PLN Banten Main Distribution Unit (UID), Sandika Aflianto hopes that the continued increase in SPKLU can make it easier for electric vehicle users to charge and also inspire people to not hesitate to use electric vehicles.
"We believe this electric-based vehicle is a future vehicle that will have more and more users, so we are committed to preparing the infrastructure," said Sandika in an official statement, Monday 27 May.
Previously, Banten Province had four SPKLUs located at AEON Mall South Tangerang, Supermall Karawaci Tangerang, Mall Tangerang City, and at the PLN UID Banten Office.
Sandika said, the development of electric vehicle infrastructure is PLN's commitment to the Presidential Regulation regarding the Acceleration of the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle Program (KBLBB) as well as an effort to be able to contribute to the achievement of Net Zero Emission (NZE) in 2060.
"We continue to strive to collaborate with various parties to be able to contribute to the realization of a battery-based electric motor vehicle ecosystem, in order to create an Indonesia that is not only free from pollution, but also in the long term, while reducing dependence on non-renewable fossil energy," continued Sandika. .
Deputy Mayor of Tangerang, Sachrudin appreciated PLN's steps to bring back SPKLU in Tangerang City.
